R.C.I.A.  the " Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults." is a program of the Catholic Church for those who are searching and inquiring about the Catholic faith or who may be Catholic and wish to be Confirmed and receive Holy Communion. While this program is oriented towards adults, it accepts teenagers who are mature enough to participate in the RCIA program. Candidates are gradually introduced to the basic beliefs and practices of the Catholic Church.

The RCIA program is also suggested for those Catholics interested in learning more about the Catholic faith.

RCIA at Sacred Heart meets on Monday evenings from 7:00-8:15 p.m. starting in September and ending on the Easter Vigil Mass. Call the Parish Office for further information (301-262-0704)
